Mission
Our mission is to safeguard Lake Tahoe’s communities, environment, and future through an advanced, locally based helicopter firefighting and rescue program that prioritizes rapid initial attack, multi mission emergency response, and workforce development, built on the belief that the best offense is a good defense.
A United Tahoe Effort
The Tahoe Helicopter Fire Rescue Program enjoys robust support from a broad coalition of political leaders, regional chiefs, federal and state agencies, and private donors. This unified backing underscores the region's commitment to the programs implementation and long-term sustainability.
Politcal Ledership
Key political figures including U.S. Senators Rosen and Cortez-Masto, Congressmen McClintock, LaMalfa, and Amodei, Nevada Assemblymen Wheeler, and local commissioners.
Lake Tahoe Regional Fire Chiefs Association
Representing departments including North Lake Tahoe Fire, Sparks Fire, Truckee Fire, Tahoe Douglas Fire, North Star Fire, Reno Fire, and Olympic Valley Fire.
